TRANSOXIANACartas de Lectoreso... "Ladran, Sancho!" |
I'm not sure whether this is really a 'newsstand' piece, but an online
journal called Transoxiana was recently brought to my attention and it has
several articles (by graduate students at the University del Salvador) on the
ancient near eastern/egyptian world (in Spanish). Worth a look:

Sigan adelante. Un saludo
fraterno.

Estimada Paola Raffetta,
We appreciate your magazine.
I have not read the article on Armenian genocide, but I tried to read the Los
Kurdos. I hope your publication appears with the spirit of objectivity which
requires opinions of Turkish scholars in these matters. If you need
recommendations,I will look for experts. You know that Uygurs are
experiencing different conditions of existence living together with the Han
people, among which assimilation is one. I am writing this because I believe
in friendly relations with world nations, articles about these sensitive
topics may misinform people and guide them to enmity which is not really
necessary.I believe a genocide of armenians is created and planned at centres
far from Armenia and Turkey, and the archives of that period is open to
researchers. Many turkish researchers have made use of these western archives
to find answers to genocide claims. Please, for the sake of objectivity let us
have Turkish historians opinion on Armenian genocide and state of kurds
through the course of near past history. [...] Probably your magazine should
be a quarterly, cordialmente,

anteriores. Muchas gracias
